🗓️ AI Tinkerers Denver Meetup - March 18th from 5:30pm - 8:00pm 🗓️

There have been some crazy new advances in AI this year, including the new Claude 3 family of highly performant LLMs, open source text-to-speech, and new vision models. We’ll briefly talk about all those developments to open the meeting and then… for the March AI Tinkerers meetup, I want everyone to come ready to give us their 5 minutes of whatever they’ve been doing with AI of late. For real! I’m sure everyone will enjoy seeing what all of you previous attendees have been tinkering on! If you’ve presented before, give us the quick update. If you haven’t presented before give us your tight 5. If you haven’t even come to an AI Tinkerers meetup before, join us now, and also feel free to jump in and share! We will start off with some beverages and snacks, then move into… let’s call it the talent show!

Junaid Dawud fell into the AI rabbit hole in early January 2022 when he discovered he could use ChatGPT to start learning to program. Always the self taught/DIY type, Junaid quickly started building and launching simple iPhone apps that use AI with his first, BarBot AI, launched less than two months after he wrote his first lines of code. He’s now launched four iOS apps and a simple visionOS app, while trying to “keep up” with AI and his day job.

Alex Volkov is an AI Evangelist at Weights & Biases as well as the founder and host of ThursdAI, a weekly newsletter and podcast that explores the latest innovations in AI, their practical applications, and the open-source AI community. Alex is an AI startup founder with 20 years of full-stack software engineering experience, offering a deep well of insights into AI innovation.
